Here are concept pieces from my work on “Poseidon” for Production Designer Bill Sandell and Director Wolfgang Petersen. I was responsible for the design and look of the Exterior of the Cruise Ship and saw it through to completed 3D model which was then turned over to the VFX Department. A lot of my concept angles are duplicated exactly in the opening of the film. The first few images are from the “Pitch” stage of the production, when the art department did images of select scenes from the film to help sell the idea of the movie to the studio.
